High Level Hosting Infrastructure
Fast, secure, powerful and elastic.
Twinview is a SAAS product that uses our stable, secure, and elastic cloud hosting environment. No complex deployment or installation is necessary, as we handle all hosting and infrastructure as part of your subscription.
However, we understand that many organisations and building owners need to ensure that their buildings' data is safe and secure and need to understand where their data is stored and processed.
This high-level hosting infrastructure is designed to give a high-level overview of the Twinview Infrastructure. We have a detailed security compliance document that goes into further detail.
Cloud Provision and Services
Twinview uses the Amazon AWS infrastructure, as well as various cloud services from other 3rd Party providers.
Standard Hosting Offering (SH)
Our standard hosting is our standard product, which is based on a 3-tier architecture, with the application back end and front layer hosted in the UK (eu-west-2) and the Storage tier located in the project/client's local region.

Segregated & Decoupled Hosted Offering (DH)
For our enterprise clients, partners and government bodies, we offer a self-contained hosting option in any available AWS region. This is a more expensive approach but ensures that all Processing, Storage and Handling of data is contained in a single region for data sovereignty reasons (unless stated).

3rd Party Services and API's
The Twinview platform utilises a number of 3rd party services and API's. Where any of these services process, store or handle client data, we list them below.
Autodesk Platform Services (APS)
We use the Model Derivative API to process native 3D BIM models and convert these to the SVG2 format that is utilised by Twinview and its viewer.
- Shared Data: 3D BIM files.
- Persistent Storage: No.
- Retention Duration: 24 hours
- Activity: Process
- Processing Region: eu-west-1 (Ireland)
Google Geolocation API
We use the Google geo-location API to resolve a Lon, Lat Chordates for your project's location, which allows us to plot your properties on the map on your portfolio page. We pass the service an address as entered in the 'Project location field' in the project settings, and it returns the Lat/Log values.
- Shared Data: Project Address.
- Persistent Storage: No.
- Retention Duration: 24 hours
- Activity: Process
- Processing Region: europe-west2 (Ireland)
